EDUCATION

Young people come to Rise Above Care at various points in their learning journey.

They come from a range of backgrounds and learning experiences, often significantly below their expected level of progression and achievement. They may have missed large periods of education for varying reasons and their attendance is often below national average.

Our primary aim, for young people who are able, is to support attendance at placements within mainstream provisions or independent schools.

We believe that all young people are of equal value and should be given equal opportunities and access to resources, regardless of their sex, race, religion, ability or background.

If a young person has not got an educational resource identified at the beginning of their placement, or ready for the structure of an education facility; we will work closely with the young person and the local authority in order to facilitate private tuition on the home. This enables the young person to be introduced into a structured educational day and provides them with the opportunity to build their confidence and personal growth.

We will always go that one step further to ensure that every child has the best possible outcomes in life.

Hearts and minds matter.
